I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your direction to the site, “Letters of Note.” I can’t begin to tell you how reading these remarkable letters made me feel and the images and moments they created in my mind as I read through them. From Steve Martin’s personal letters to his fans with the fill blanks, so very funny, which made me laugh out loud, to Aldous Huxley’s last dying days and death while taking LSD, to the mother who lost five sons in world war II and Roosevelt’s reply, in which I was reminded of the great sacrifice made of my parents generation and the generation, upon whom it fell, to stop those tyrants who would destroy the earth and all that was good, a generation that saved the world and us all. It was very moving. Incredibly so.
